I am my body !

I am my face that makes me known by Another and that makes me recognize you as the Other

My face tells you who I am, how I am, why I am.

My eyes makes you see me and makes me see you

My ears make me hear you.

This skin on my face makes me feel you.

I even have a tongue to receive, to feel, to taste, to give words

I am receptive, I am presence, I am gift to you in my senses.

But I alone could let my face speak to you with my eyes that can look at you with compassion, love and anger: with my lips that may kiss or utter a blessing: with my cheek that may receive another’s touch and say “I am with you”.

Everything of my face communicates myself to you and is receptive and reaching out to you.

I am human, I am the Other.

I am my body !

I am my breasts as I am woman

I am my breasts that may be ready to receive a tender touch.

But most of all, I am my breasts ready to give, to nurture life if God gives me the chance.

I am my breasts supple and soft and round, tender and warm that may cradle another body in comfort, tenderness and protection.

I am my breasts, the face my heart, my affection and tenderness.

I am human. I am woman !

I am my body !

I am my arms willing to hold and embrace, to warm and communicate love.

But I keep it open always that one may go freely, for to keep it locked in embrace is to be unable to receive others in love.

I am my arms ready to carry the weight of other if needed be.

I am my arms, I am solidarity. I am friend.

I am my body !

I am my bosom receptive to live.

There in my womb God becomes mother and blesses me with new life.

My womb is source of my creative energies, source of passion and strength that reaches out.

My womb seats the cord that ties me with every human being.

It connects me with the earth, it seats my bowels, it tells me clearly “I am humus”, I am Earth.

I am “ha adamah” I am of the earth.

I share “ha adamah” with “ish” man.

I am my womb, I am ishah – woman.

I am mother, sister, wife.

I am my body !

I am earth and share the fertility of God’s creation.

My fertility is receptivity to human flesh and human spirit.

I can nurture and give life with a new spirit.

I give not only of my flesh but of my heart, mind and spirit.

I am my body, I am earth, I am life, I am mother.

I am my body !

I am my lap, limbs and feet.

I am my lap and arms to cradle, comfort and support.

I am my limbs and my feet to dance, to walk, to run, to journey.

I am my body !  All that is me !

At times it is a barrier, many times it is language I am my body, God’s gift of being created.

I am body, Lord Mother of life, here I am take me.

I AM MY BODY !

I AM WOMAN !

I AM HUMAN !

I am woman, this is my voice.

My voice is woman – mother, sister, wife and friend.

My voice with man harmonizes for life-giving grace.

I am woman, I am solidarity, I am receptivity.

I am gift.

I am life.

I am daughter.

I am God’s.

I am woman,

so we are human.
